Lagos, March 28, 2025 – The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone-2, AIG Fayoade Fayoade, has decorated former RRS Commander in Lagos State, Mr Olayinka Egbeyemi, with new rank of Assistance Commissioner of Police (ACP).
He was decorated by the AIG and assisted by his wife, Mrs Egbeyemi at the Zone 2 Conference Hall, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday.
The MostNewsReporters (MNR), reports that, Egbeyemi, who was also former Deputy spokesperson in Lagos Police Command, former Chairman, Lagos Taskforce, was decorated along side one DCP and three ACPs, promoted recently by the Police Service Commission.
According to the Zone-2 Command spokesperson, CSP Tunni Ayuba, Egbeyemi was decorated with DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe, ACP Kazeem Afolabi and others.
The AIG appreciated the Inspector-General, I-GP Kayode Egbetokun and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd) for approving the promotion of the officers.
“AIG Fayoade enjoined them to be good supervisors to their subordinates, portray the Force in good light and be more devoted to it, as unto whom much is given, much is expected
He also emphasized the need for people friendly policing to enhance public trust,” Ayuba quoted the AIG as saying.
DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe, on behalf of newly promoted Officers in his vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to the Almighty God.
Ajeigbe also appreciated the I-GP and PSC Chairman for finding them deserving of the enviable ranks.
“We promised to live up to expectations and be more responsible in our respective duty posts,” he assured..
