The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Fayoade M. Adegoke, today, March 27, 2025, decorated newly promoted Assistant Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of Police with their new ranks.
The decorated officers, as disclosed in a statement issued by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), CSP Ayuba T. Umma, include DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe, ACP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi and ACP Kazeem Kabir Afolabi, among others.
At the event, which held at the command headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, Fayoade expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission (PSC) Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, for approving the promotion of the new Deputy and Assistant Commissioners of Police.
The AIG, however, enjoined the officers to be good supervisors to their subordinates, portray the Force in good light and be more devoted, saying “For unto whom much is given, much is expected.
He also emphasized on the need for people- friendly policing, to enhance public trust.
Giving the vote of thanks on behalf of the newly promoted officers, DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe expressed gratitude to Almighty God, and also appreciated the IGP and PSC Chairman for finding them deserving of the enviable ranks.
