A tragic incident occurred at the Palasa Guest Inn in Gwagwalada, Abuja, where Police Inspector Lawal Ibrahim of the Kwali Division was found dead.

Reports indicate that the officer checked into the hotel with Maryam Abba, a woman he met online and invited from Dutse, Jigawa State.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that the two engaged in a sexual encounter on the night of their arrival and again early the next morning. However, after the second round, Maryam noticed that Ibrahim’s breathing became irregular, and he stopped responding.

In an attempt to revive him, she reportedly sprinkled water on him, but her efforts were unsuccessful.

She immediately raised an alarm and alerted the hotel manager, Danlami Palasa, who then contacted the police.

The authorities arrived at the scene and found Ibrahim’s lifeless body in the room. He was later transported to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, where medical professionals confirmed his death. His body has since been deposited in the hospital mortuary.

Items discovered in the hotel room included a watermelon, a suspected aphrodisiac, Ibrahim’s phone charger, and his police identity card.

An anonymous police officer from the Gwagwalada division confirmed the event, stating:Maryam has been arrested, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently underway.”

Efforts to reach SP Adeh Josephine, the Spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
