NEWS: Nigerian Navy Officer Kills Colleague In Zamfara Dispute

Crime watch Reporters has been informed by a source that a confrontation between two personnel from Team 3, previously known as Operation Hadarin Daji and now renamed Operation Sheto Yanma, escalated into violence. During an argument, Leading Seaman Akila shot and killed his colleague.

The incident occurred early on Friday morning, around 6 a.m., in Dansadau, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State. According to the source, the altercation involved two naval personnel, resulting in LS Akila firing at his fellow serviceman.

Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, later confirmed the shooting incident. He reported that at approximately 3:12 a.m. on October 25, LS Akila A, who was stationed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Dansadau for Operation Fansan Yamma, discharged his weapon, killing a fellow soldier under questionable circumstances.
