Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has broken down in tears and issued another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar.
This latest apology comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences.
In his explanation, Portable said his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor.
He acknowledged that he would not have slapped the preacher if he had known the man was a "true man of God."
In a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees, crying profusely and expressing remorse for his actions against the preacher. The singer was surrounded by several people at his bar, who were chanting "God is King. Jesus is here."
During the incident, Testimony Jaga, who was also present at the bar, stated, "I want to say this to all the pastors in the world. I am their son. My brother is your son. Whatever he did, we are sorry."
