Nollywood Actor Identified as Owner of Operational Vehicles Used by Lagos Billionaire Kidnappers
A popular Nollywood actor and producer, identified as Ode, has been linked to a gang of billionaire kidnappers terrorizing Lagos and its environs.
The actor, based in Port Harcourt, was reportedly killed during a encounter with police detectives from the Commissioner of Police Special Squad in the Ladipo area of Lagos.
According to crimewatchnewspaper, the police recovered two operational vehicles, a Lexus 350 Jeep and 4 Runner Jeep, registered in the actor’s name, as well as four mobile phones and other personal items.
The mobile phones were registered in the actor’s name, but with pictures of two unknown young men and fake addresses.
The police are working to identify the remaining members of the gang, and have discovered that one of them is a twin who lived in a suburb of Lagos.
The twin brother has reportedly fled from their residence after learning of his brother’s fate.
The police have also received information from a WhatsApp user who claims to know the twins and has identified five of the killed kidnappers.
The user shared pictures of the kidnappers attending a birthday party in fresh clothes, which helped identify them.
The police are closing in on the fleeing members of the gang, with one traced to a city in the North.
They have also discovered a popular rendezvous spot in Lagos and are keeping watch to identify more gang members.
The owner of a popular beer parlour frequented by the kidnappers is in police custody and has provided useful information.
The kidnappers were able to evade police detection by wearing military uniforms and accoutrements, which were recovered in their cars after the encounter.
