NDLEA operatives reject N6 Million bribe, intercept Loud, cannabis concealed in Toyota Highlander at Tincan port.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted 15 parcels of a synthetic strain of cannabis called "Loud" weighing 7.5kg at the Tincan port in Lagos. The drugs were concealed in the doors and body crevices of a Toyota Highlander SUV that was part of a container marked MSMU 7294325.

The container had been declared as containing three used vehicles, including the Toyota Highlander, which originated from Toronto, Canada and was shipped to Nigeria via Montreal.

Two suspects, Sunday Sodade and Oriyomi Adesina, who were supposed to receive the vehicle and the drug consignment were arrested. The NDLEA also reported that a bribe of 6 million naira was offered by the sender of the container, who is based in Canada, through his agent, but the NDLEA officers rejected the bribe.

In another case, the NDLEA smashed a cocaine trafficking cartel headed by a couple, Bolanle Lookman Dauda and Olayinka Toheebat Dauda, in Lagos and Ogun states. They recovered a multi-billion-naira worth of the illicit drug during intelligence-led raids and arrested the kingpin and his "queen".
