On Tuesday, 16 January, 2024, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, paid a visit to the family of the late Ndidi Livingstone, who served as the Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) in Mgbuoshimini. Ndidi Livingstone was tragically shot and killed in front of his church by unknown gunmen near Rumueme waterfront the previous Saturday.

During the visit, CP Disu, accompanied by his management team and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Agip division, expressed condolences to Godspower Livingstone, the elder brother of the deceased CDC Chairman, as well as Mrs. Patience Ndidi Livingstone, their children, and other family members.

CP Disu emphasized his understanding of the family's grief and made it clear that he was compelled to show his support and ensure that justice is served in this case.

CP affirmed that those responsible for the murder of Ndidi Livingstone will face consequences and assured that their identities will soon be revealed.

The police superintendent in Rivers further stressed the importance of cooperation in the battle against crime, stating that the police cannot combat it alone and requires support from all sectors of society.

Mr Godspower, the deceased's older brother, expressed gratitude to CP Disu for the visit and for the efforts made to capture the culprits behind his brother's killing.

Ndidi Livingstone was fatally shot by armed individuals outside the premises of Peculiar Faith Ministry on January 13, 2024. The perpetrators, who were waiting in a black SUV, fled the scene following the shooting.

Iringe-Koko affirmed that the police are nearing the apprehension of the killer group as the manhunt continues.
