Lagos State government has announced traffic diversion on a section of Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, for the Christmas Youth Parade scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

As a result, motorists are enjoined to use the alternative routes which include: “Motorists heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout from VCP Hotel will be diverted to Jubril Martins Street, then turn right into Muri Okunola Street, to connect Ligali Ayorinde Street, link Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, and then to Tokunbo Ademolat Street to connect their desired destinations.

Traffic from Ligali Ayorinde Street heading to Eko Hotel Roundabout will be diverted to Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, then connect to Adetokunbo Ademola Street, and continue to their desired destination.

“Motorists heading toward Ajose Adeogun Street from Eko Hotel Roundabout will be diverted to Adetokunbo Ademola Street, then turn right into Bishop Aboyade Cole Street, link Muri Okunola Street, connect Jubril Martins Street, and return to Ajose Adeogun Street for their desired destinations.”

While urging motorists to be patient due to the diversion plan, the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, assured that officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority would be on duty to ensure a seamless traffic flow and the safety of motorists.
