The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has said it will, on Saturday, shut down power supply to the International Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, between 1.00 am and 4.30am.
This statement was signed and made available by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, who stated that the development was for the replacement of the Bus Riser 11KVA high-tension panel.
According to the statement, the proposed electrical power supply maintenance shutdown will be carried out with minimal disruption to flight operations and passenger facilitation.
Besides, Royal Air Maroc, which operates within the maintenance hour, will be relocated for check-in and arrival formalities to the International Terminal 1.
She stated that airlines, security agencies, and concessioners will be notified appropriately, while the airport authority, however, assured passengers of continuous movement.
However, FAAN concluded by regretting any inconvenience caused to their stakeholders and passengers, adding that safety and security of all airport users will always be paramount in their considerations.
