WARNS AGAINST FIRING OF BANGERS, KNOCKOUTS, OTHERS

In it's continuous and intentional efforts towards security in Akwa Ibom State as the Christmas and New Year celebrations get closer, The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo psc, has met with Senior Officers of the Command with a charge on them to ensure that all the nooks and crannies of the State are given adequate Security attention. 

CP Eribo, Psc during the meeting which also had Deputy Commissioners, Area Commanders,  Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders and others directed the strengthening of Police  formations towards ensuring adequate security of respective AORs.

He charged Senior Officers and tactical Commanders to be professional in the discharge of their duties and ensure proper supervision of their personnel. 



Meanwhile, in respect of the anticipated increase in human and vehicular traffic during the festive period, the Command has put in place measures to ensure that   vehicular and human movements don't experience traffic jams.

The Command however warned against the use and firing of bangers, knockouts, carbides and other explosives noting that any person, group of persons found disregarding this directive shall be apprehended and made to face the full weight of the law.



The CP acknowledges with gratitude the close working relationship between the Police and Sister security agencies in the State and described it as a well coordinated response to any security concern.

CP Eribo reassures members of the public of the commitment of the Police and Sister Security agencies in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all while also reminding members of the public on the need to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the Police.
