The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, has named a street in Ikere-Ekiti after the late father of Primate Elijah Ayodele, the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.
The street, formerly known as "Area One" where Primate Ayodele's church is located, has now been designated as Ayomate Avenue.
The renaming was a collaborative effort between the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Samuel Alagbado, his chiefs, the local government chairmen, and the governor. Governor Oyebanji stated that the street was named in recognition of the good works done by Primate Ayodele's late father and the continuation of those good works by the prophet himself. He also acknowledged Primate Ayodele's efforts to drive economic growth in the community.
Primate Ayodele expressed gratitude for the honor and promised that the presence of his church in Ikere-Ekiti would bring more economic development to the local government area.Primate Ayodele also pledged to start sinking boreholes across the local government to assist the government in addressing the water crisis.
Primate Ayodele's late father was known as a highly respected individual in Ikere-Ekiti who brought positive influence to the community.Primate Ayodele has been actively engaged in various humanitarian activities, such as selling bags of rice at affordable prices, providing scholarships for youths, and empowering widows, in Ikere-Ekiti and other parts of the country.
