Kogi State Commissioner for Information Visits News Central in Lagos

In a show of collaboration and commitment to fostering partnerships in the Nigerian media landscape, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Olorunfemi Fanwo, paid a courtesy visit to News Central Television on behalf of the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, at the station's Lagos headquarters.

The Commissioner was warmly received by the Director of Commercial & Communications, Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, who represented the Managing Director, Mr Kayode Akintemi, and other members of News Central’s executive management.

During the visit, discussions focused on opportunities for strategic collaboration between News Central and the Kogi State Government to enhance media coverage, share development stories from the state, and explore joint initiatives. The Commissioner expressed the interest of the Kogi State Government in partnering with News Central Television to amplify the state’s achievements and developmental projects through impactful media coverage.

The Honourable Commissioner emphasised the power of communication and information sharing in leadership. He also expressed the important role of the media in providing accurate news devoid of misinformation.

Mrs. Egabor-Afolahan, speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, expressed News Central’s commitment to supporting the state’s media outreach efforts. “We are honoured by this visit and look forward to working closely with the Kogi State Government to promote and highlight the positive developments within the state. News Central is ready to provide a platform for Kogi’s stories to be told.”

The meeting concluded with a tour of News Central’s headquarters and an exclusive interview with the commissioner. The Commissioner promised to explore further avenues of collaboration, particularly in information dissemination, media campaigns, and public enlightenment programs.
