Today, the Comptroller General of Immigration Service played host to a team from National Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) at the Service Headquarters.
2. Leader of the team and Chief Executive (CEO) of the Unit, Hajiya Hafsat Abubakar said the aim of their visit was to seek areas of collaboration between the two Agencies towards delivering on their respective statutory mandates. In addition, she congratulated the CGIS on her appointment and the visible efforts she was making to ensure the Service stands out in the discharge of its manifest functions.
3. While welcoming the CEO and her team, the CGIS in her remarks expressed Immigration Service's readiness to synergise with the NFIU as a strategy to deny criminal elements the opportunity to compromise Nigeria's national security.
