LATEST:WE ARE NOT INVOLVED IN ANY EVICTION OF NIGERIANS," SAYS LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has responded to the news circulating that the "Nigerian Police Transported Residents to Osun State." The Lagos State Police Command wishes to clarify that they are not aware of, nor were they involved in, any such operation.

The Command, in fulfillment of its responsibilities to prevent and detect crime, conducts periodic raids of known criminal hotspots. They then promptly present any culpable suspects before the appropriate courts in the state, after thorough screening of the individuals apprehended during these operations.

The Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni, assures the people of Lagos State that the Command will continue to prioritize their safety and security at all times.
