Sequel to the recent havoc wreaked on Ifoshi road by truck drivers intermittently, the council Boss has condemned in strong terms and appealed to road users to stop the misuse of the infrastructure, saying it remains a threat to safety and could lead to unnecessary loss of lives and properties
Specifically on the Ifoshi road that has eventually witnessed the light of the day under the current led administration of Alhaji Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) after barely 24 years of waiting,an heavy load haulage truck was caught to have been jacked up on bare asphalt - allowing it to sink into the ground , dilapidated the edges and left a deep hollow on the spot.
This action is described as barbaric, and wicked, and must be unraveled, nip in the bud and brought to book
Heavy duty trucks were seen parked for days on the road to carry out maintenance work, this practice was capable of setting us back and cutting short the life span of the roads.
“The heavy duty trucks park on the shoulders of the roads and carry out maintenance work thereby spoiling it. The parking on the road is a threat to the safety of our roads,” he lamented.
NOTE:
“Maintenance culture is key to the durability and sustainability of our infrastructure for it costs us fortune to fix this road, after a long years of abandonment. It’s our collective responsibility as law abiding citizens to guide and protect public properties.
No one would be spared if caught messing up with our public infrastructures and no misdemeanor would be tampered with mercy, any perpetrator will be prosecuted and brought to book henceforth. Thus, Community members should be on look out for anyone, any driver who crosses the redlines” The council Boss asserted
