CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, has instructed his security personnel to remain vigilant during the New Year festivities in order to ensure a crime-free celebration in Nigeria.
COMPOL Disu, while carrying out his duty of monitoring his troops at checkpoints and various locations over the weekend to ensure the safety of lives and properties, cautioned the officers stationed at the checkpoints and those on patrol to refrain from causing lengthy queues and engaging in extortion.
He emphasized the importance of treating members of the public with civility during their interactions.
The Chief of Police alongside DC Operations, DCP Olugbenga Adepoju, Commander CP X-Squad, Commander CP Monitoring Unit, and PPRO, were conducting patrol at the border of Rivers State and Imo State.
During this patrol, the CP instructed his team to remove license plate numbers that were obscured on vehicles. He instructed his team to ensure that crime is prevented during this festive season.
