The Police Service Commission annual awards ceremony's second edition will take place tomorrow, on December 19, 2023, at the Commission's Corporate Headquarters in Jabi Abuja.
Distinguished Nigerians, previous Chairmen of the Commission, Directors, and associates of the Commission are anticipated to attend the awards ceremony.
The Commission plans to acknowledge and honor deserving individuals from Nigeria, including its own employees, police officers, and others who have made significant contributions to the country's efficient and effective law enforcement.
The awards ceremony will consist of seven categories, namely the PSC Appreciation award, the leadership and service award, the prestigious award for philanthropy in the police force, the stakeholders award, the award for bravery in the Nigeria Police Force, the PSC Pioneer staff award, and the PSC staff award.
The Chief Host, Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, former Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Commission, stated that the awards ceremony acknowledges and celebrates outstanding performance in the Police Sector.
He further emphasized that the Commission will consistently acknowledge individuals who have shown exceptional ability and offered support to both the Commission and the Police in carrying out their duties.
According to Dr. Arase, the occasion will also provide an opportunity for the employees of the Commission and those involved with it to relax and express gratitude to God for His mercy and blessings throughout the year 2023. The inaugural event took place in December of 2022.
